Another Garden Day

In Friends, In the House, gardening, mustard seed house, sharing on September 2, 2007 at 3:22 am

Today was garden day at the Mustard Seed House – a great opportunity to enjoy each others’ company, harvest the blessing of God’s bounty as well as to start to get ready for Fall (yes it is the beginning of September). We started with a delicious breakfast of Greek omelette & peach scones and then moved on to harvest apples (about 100lb of them), tomatoes, tomatillos beans, potatoes and squash. We was amazing to see how much weeding we could do in a couple of hours. It was a fun and satisfying morning.

Today we were joined by Jana Prothman who has just moved back to Seattle after spending time in Washington DC . She is interested in community and this seemed an ideal way to get acquainted.
